Introduction

Budget Tracker Pro is operated by Peacock Technical Solutions Inc. ("we", "our", or "us"), which is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our iOS and macOS application.

Information We Collect

Data you provide:

• Budget names and amounts you create
• Expense descriptions, amounts, and dates
• Categories and tags you assign

We do not operate any server of our own. There is no account to create, and the app contains no analytics, advertising, or tracking services. Your financial data is never transmitted to us.

Where Your Data Is Stored

On your device:

Your budget and expense data is stored locally in JSON files, encrypted by the operating system and readable only after you have unlocked the device at least once since it started.

In your iCloud account:

When iCloud sync is enabled, your data is synced to your own private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit. This data is:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest
• Stored in your personal iCloud account, using your own iCloud storage
• Not accessible to us or to any third party
• Subject to Apple's iCloud Terms and Conditions

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your information. Your data may be shared only in these limited circumstances:

• With Apple: for iCloud sync, under Apple's privacy policy
• Budget sharing: when you explicitly share a budget with someone you invite
• Legal requirements: where required by law

Budget Sharing

When you share a budget with another person:

• The budget is visible to every participant you invite
• Participants can see the budget owner's name
• You control who has access and their permission level
• You can stop sharing at any time
• A shared budget stays in the owner's iCloud account, not the participants'

Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all of your data within the app
• Export your data in CSV or JSON format
• Delete your data at any time
• Disable iCloud sync and use the app entirely offline

Data Retention

Local data: retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.

iCloud data: retained in your iCloud account until you delete it. You can remove it from your device's iCloud storage settings.

If you disable sync: your data remains in local storage and in iCloud, but stops syncing between devices.

Children's Privacy

Budget Tracker Pro is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services

• Apple iCloud / CloudKit: for data sync and budget sharing, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy

The app uses no other third-party services.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and notified through the app where appropriate.
