Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using Budget Tracker Pro ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Budget Tracker Pro is a budget tracking and expense management application for iOS and macOS. The App offers:

• Unlimited budgets and expenses, stored on your device
• iCloud sync across all your devices
• Budget sharing with other Apple users
• Analytics and reporting with charts
• Custom categories and tags
• Data export (CSV/JSON)

Cost

Every feature of the App is free. There is no subscription, no in-app purchase, and no paid tier.

• iCloud sync uses your own iCloud storage, provided by Apple as part of your Apple ID
• Shared budgets count against the storage of whoever owns the budget

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate budget and expense information
• Keep your iCloud account credentials secure
• Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws
• Not attempt to reverse engineer or hack the App
• Not share budgets with malicious intent

iCloud Sync

Requirements:

• Signed in to iCloud on your device
• Sufficient iCloud storage space

Data sync:

• Data syncs automatically when online
• Offline changes sync when the connection is restored
• Conflict resolution uses a last-write-wins strategy
• We are not responsible for data loss due to iCloud issues

Budget Sharing

When you share a budget:

• You grant participants access based on the permissions you set (read-only or read-write)
• Participants can see the budget owner's name
• You remain the owner and can revoke access at any time
• Shared budgets use your iCloud storage quota
• You are responsible for managing participant permissions

Intellectual Property

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by Peacock Technical Solutions Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Accuracy of calculations or data
• Compatibility with all devices
• That the App will meet your specific needs

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR:

• Any loss of data or financial information
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits or business opportunities

Data Backup

You are responsible for maintaining backup copies of your budget data. We recommend:

• Regular exports of your data (CSV/JSON)
• Ensuring iCloud backup is enabled on your device
• Keeping local copies of important financial information

Termination

We reserve the right to:

• Suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms
• Discontinue the App with 30 days notice
• Modify features with advance notice

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. Material changes will be notified through the App.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
